Baseball Coaching

Baseball coaching is something it seems less and less people want to go into. Coaching youth baseball is one area that is lacking baseball coaching more than anywhere else. I can understand and I've seen first hand why this is so. Years ago parents use to sit on the sidelines and watch their son or daughter play baseball or t-ball. Now these parents are attacking coaches and sticking their noses in which makes it hard for the coach to coach a team. Coaching baseball use to be something that everybody were willing to do, but that has changed alot. Especially when people are always telling you how bad of a job your doing. Is it really worth the heartaches you have to endure? Being a coach for many years I loved coaching and you will see the good side and bad side when your coaching that's just part of the terroity you learn as a coach. Now with the Internet is actually in my opinion makes coaching alot easier, because you have more information at your fingertips which is great. People are more willing to help you which means you can become a better coach which is what we all want to do anyways.

Baseball coaching clinics are another great thing for baseball coaching. They will teach you things that you normally wouldn't have. You can network with other coaches and become friends and actually learn stuff from other coaches that has worked for them. Baseball coaching is a learning process that never stops if you ask me. Many people look at baseball coaching like a teacher. Teachers are always learning and a baseball coach must be the same way if he hopes to have his team become better. I know people may not realize this but baseball coaching is a job and one that coaches are proud of. Baseball coaching jobs especially at the higher levels of baseball are sought after and usually are hard to get. if you pay your dues though you maybe get lucky and land one of those jobs. the pay isn't bad and you get to do something you love coach baseball. It doesn't really get any better than that. Get paid for what you love to do and enjoy life all in the same breath a baseball coach will tell you that's heaven.
