Baseball Stadiums

If you go back a few years you probably could see this coming with baseball stadiums. More new baseball stadiums are being built and old baseball stadiums are being replaced. The old time ballparks many fans are use to are no long around. As a kid growing up the baseball stadiums had an aura around them, but that has seem to go by the wayside to. Newer baseball stadiums that are being built have everything you could ask for from top notch restaurants to state of the art seats to the best fields for the players to play on. baseball stadiums have gone from a place to enjoy the game to a money maker for the owners of the baseball teams. It's a shame, but a fact of life that will not change anytime soon. Luxury boxes are sold for many thousands of dollars as corporations shell out the money to get their names even on baseball stadiums.

Even spring training baseball stadiums have changed alot. These small ballparks use to be great to go visit and now these are being turned into nothing but moneymakers which is a real shame as they are outpricing the regular fan of baseball. Kids and single families are the real losers in this as the older baseball stadiums usually had cheaper ticket prices and you could take your whole family. That's not the case anymore as these new stadiums have to pay for themselves with higher ticket prices and the fans know it. Sure these knew baseball stadiums are alot nicer, but it all costs more and I'm beginning to wonder in the end if it's worth it.

Give me the old baseball stadiums where you could enjoy a game and all that went with an older stadium. Today's newer baseball stadiums lack something and cost so much more. The casual fan has been turned away and I see that to happen more in the future as prices for seats continue to rise beyond the normal guys ability to pay. Baseball stadiums have changed alot, but not always for the good though which is a real shame. Hopefully this expansion will stop soon before we have no older stadiums left and all is left is a memory of what the older baseball stadiums use to be like. I guess only time will tell how many survive.
