Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Reds are a Major League Baseball team and belong as such to the National League Central Division. The Cincinnati reds baseball team is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Originally baseball in Cincinnati started with the Cincinnati Red Stockings from 1876-1882. In the 1950s era because of communism the team changed the name Cincinnati Reds and later the Cincinnati Redlegs. They also removed the letters REDS out of the Wishbone shaped C to destroy all things associated with communism.

The Cincinnati Reds logo is s drop-shaped red wishbone “C” with the drop-shaped word “REDS” inside of the C.

In 1972 to 1992 the logo of the Cincinnati Reds was the so-called Cincinnati Reds running man patch.

In 2003 the Cincinnati Reds moved from their former home, the Cinergy Field to the brand new Great American Ballpark. They also introduced the new Cincinnati Reds Mascot, Gapper.

In their long history in Cincinnati the team won 5 World Series titles and 9 National League pennants. The titles where won in 1919, 1940, 1975, 1976 and 1990.
