Florida Marlins
As a Major League Baseball team the Florida Marlins belong to the National League Eastern Division. Their home stadium is Dolphin Stadium, a stadium in the suburb of Miami Gardens.
In the short but sweet Florida Marlins baseball History they were fortunate enough to win the World Series twice. They yet have to make first place and win a division championship. The Florida Marlins won the World Series in 1997 and 2003 by advancing to the Finals through “wild cards”.
Another name often used when referring to the Florida Marlins is “The Fish”. The Florida Marlins schedule includes 162 games in the regular season, as established in 1961 by the Major League organization. The Florida Marlins logo is slightly different for the uniform and for the baseball cap. The Florida Marlins uniform logo has a circle design with “Florida” and “Marlins” written in the circle, a marlin dolphin jumping through the circle and a baseball in the center circle background. The circle is filled with a gray color. The baseball hat logo is a bold black old English F outlined in gray with a marlin dolphin wrapping around in an angle. In 2003 the Florida Marlins drafted Jeff Allison. As a big prospect he was celebrated, but soon he got hooked on painkillers and his performance and health declined. Despite the hopes he might be back and perform at some point soon, this point in time seems further away than most people though.

Despite their success of two World Series in just a short time of existence the Florida Marlins had business issues due to a low attendance for their home games. The Marlins management recommended a retractable roof stadium to survive as a franchise in Florida and if it would not be build the team would relocate.
In 2005 there were these rumors about a Florida Marlin relocation and soon it was as a hard fact on the table. The old Florida Marlins stadium was aging and they were looking into a new stadium. Since cost for a new stadium are very high the Florida Marlins explored the market for a city that would financially support the new stadium with a new Major League Baseball team coming. After serious talks with San Antonio in 2006 it now looks like they might stay in Florida after all and build stadium in Hialeha, Florida in the county of Miami-Dade.
As with so many other teams, the Florida Marlins are a franchise business. They have their own official major league website where you can buy Florida Marlins tickets, find Florida Marlins apparel and Florida Marlins collectibles. Fan accessories such as Florida Marlins DVDs, Florida Marlins Visors, a small Florida Marlins trophy and even Florida Marlins wallpaper are sold online.
