Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers are a Major League Baseball team and they belong to the American League Western Division. The team is based in Arlington, Texas, a suburb in the Dallas/Forth Worth Metroplex and currently plays in the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The team was founded originally in 1961 as the Washington Senators and after they original Washington Senators were moved to Minnesota to become the Minnesota Twins. The name for the team changed to the Texas Rangers in 1972.

The beginning years of the Texas Rangers were fullfilled with bad performance and a myriad of losses until the ealry 1990s. The 1994 season featured a perfect game by Kenny Rogers. After that the performance of the Texas Rangers imrpoved and led to the American League Western Divison title in 1996.
In 1999, the first player and Texas Ranger to ever be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame and to have a Ranger cap placed on his plaque was Nolan Ryan.

So far in Texas Rangers history the Texas Ranger baseball team belongs to the only 5 teams left to never have won a World Series. They are also considering the time of the Washington Senators together the oldest team not yet to have a World Series title.
The colors of the Texas Rangers uniforms are blue, white, blue and scarlet-red. The Texas Ranger’s logo depicts the letter "T" superimposed on a baseball, set inside a circle with "TEXAS" on the top half and "RANGERS" on the bottom half.
Some people say that Texas Rangers chances at winning a world series has improved after firing their recent manager Buck Shoewalter. Another reason could be the newly acquired pitching performance and the newly added 2007 Texas Rangers baseball players. But the 2007 season is long and we will find out if these rumors are true and if the Texas Rangers will finally win a World Series title.
